I am an only child and brought up in Waterford.  My dad was the choir director and head deacon in the church I grew up in, so we were the first to arrive and the last to leave church, a lot of the time.

I was brought up with the preachers kids and was just as rotten as they were.  But my dad carried a big stick, so he could look at me from the front while directing music, and if I was acting up, I knew I was in trouble when I got home.

I met my husband Larry in February 1967 and we were married in December of that year.
We spent four years in the Air Force and two of our children, Kelly and Rod were born during that time.

After spending some time back at home (Pontiac) we then felt the need and God calling us to prepare ourselves for Christian service at college.  We spent five years at Liberty Baptist College in Lynchburg, Va.  During that time God gave us another child, Timothy
is our blessing from our college days,  and we really learned a lot about Faith, and how to trust God.

Joshua was born after we returned back to Pontiac, after our college years.  We served in several capacities in churches and finally God brought us back to Waterford where we started attending Faith Baptist Church. 

I began Women’s Ministries here at Faith in 1997 and God has been blessing since.  I have many areas of ministry that I am affiliated with.  New Baby Visits, Small Groups, the Dorcas ministry, Heart to Heart, Meals that Heal, our Prayer Chain,  Card Ministry, Baker/Taker, and the Connections Breakfasts-Dinners. Funeral Dinners, Secret Sisters and the list goes on.

Women’s Ministries has now taken on a new look.  We have changed our name to WOW which stands for Women of the Word and all four of our campuses are involved in WOW Bible Studies.   We would love to have you join us.  So, if I can offer you information that would help you decide about a ministry or a Bible study you would like to get involved in, please contact me through our church or the website.
