Have you had a Personal Encounter with God? The Bible clearly teaches that knowing God personally is the key to receiving forgiveness, Eternal Life and Heaven, and that belief and trust in Jesus Christ is the only way to God.

Jesus Christ came that "they [people] might know Thee [God], whom to know is eternal life" (John 17:3).

Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father but through Me" (John 14:6).

Discover how you can receive Jesus Christ as Savior and acknowledge Him as Lord:

"And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.  He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.  These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life." (1 John 5:11-13)

1.      Believe that God, the creator of all things, exists in holiness and purity, and that He wants you to know Him, and is seeking a relationship with you (Hebrews 11:6; Luke 19:10; John 4:23 , 17:3).

2.      Admit that you are guilty as a sinner in God's sight; that you cannot help but fall short of His holy standard of righteousness required to be found innocent, and worthy of heaven (Isaiah 53:6, 64:6; Romans 3:23 , 5:12 , 6:23 ; Ephesians 2:1,4-5).

3.       Acknowledge that all the good you do cannot make up for even one sin, or make you righteous and worthy in God's eyes (Romans 3:20,28; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5,6).

4.      Realize that God loves you still, and paid the price for your sin at His own expense, so that He could justly forgive, redeem and save you. (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 10:12; Titus 3:3-7; 1 Peter 1:18 ,19; 2:24 ). Jesus took your place as a sacrifice for you!

5.      Place all of your faith and trust in Jesus death on the cross for your forgiveness and righteousness before God. Believe that Jesus is truly the Son of God who rose from the dead, and confess Him as Lord (John 1:12 , 3:16 ; Acts 16:31 ; Romans 5:1, 10:9-13).

A recommended heartfelt prayer: Dear Lord, I agree with you that I am a sinner in your sight and cannot possibly live up to your holy standard. I believe that Jesus is God, died in my place, and arose from the dead. I want to trust Him alone as my Savior and obey Him as Lord. Please forgive me, and help me live for you; through Jesus I pray.  Amen!

Once you have trusted Christ as your own Savior and Lord:

Know that as a self-proclaimed believer and follower of Christ:

     a. You are forgiven and set-free from every sin you every committed (Isaiah 1:18; 1John 1:9)

                                    You get a whole new start with God (everyday can be new)

       a. You belong to Him (John 1:12 ,13; Romans 8:14 -17; 1Corinthians 6:19 ,20);

       b. You received the Holy Spirit to live in you (Romans 8:9; Ephesians 1:13 ,14);

       c.  You are promised a home in heaven for sure (John 10:27 -29; Romans 8:38 ,39; 1John 5:11 -13).

Commit yourself to:

       a.   Loving the Church (gathering of fellow believers)- (John 13:34 ,35; 15:12 ; Hebrews 10:24 ,25);

       b.   Learning His Word (1Peter 2:1-3; Romans 12:2; 2Timothy 3:16 ,17);

       c.   Living obediently for Him (John 14:15,21, 15:5,8; Galatians 5:16,17; Ephesians 4:1,2; 5:1-5; Philippians 4:4-9;  1Thessalonians 4:3-8, 5:16-18; James 2:14,17; 1Peter 4:1-5);

       d.   Letting others know how to come to Jesus for forgiveness and Eternal Life (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 2Corinthians 5:11 ,20; 1Peter 3:15 );

       e.   Looking forward to His return (1 Corinthians 15:51,52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Timothy 4:8);
